Hey Susan! Maybe try to get a generous sample first? Perfection Lumiere can be a little drying on my skin in the long run. I have to make sure the skin underneath is very well-hydrated for this to look good all day. B20 is very yellow too. I wear it occasionally and it looks good in pictures but because you've been mentioning a little dryness, I thought I'd let you know that this made me feel a little dry.

Hi! I just accidentally published a half-finished sentence :) But as I was saying, I'm glad my foundation reviews have been helpful. We probably wear the same shade across a variety of brands. The YSL 2.5 may yet work out for you, depending on the type of discoloration you're trying to conceal. But if it doesn't, definitely give Givenchy a shot.

hi, it's me again :) after reading your review on pro lumiere, i started perusing some more. i'm happy i didn't listen to the SA yesterday after she tried to sell me this product! and thank you for existing ;) i've had the mindset to purchase really good foundations only since I don't wear it often...you have an awesome archive of high-end foundation reviews (many of which i'm curious about) to help me narrow down my decision! thank you x10.

sooo happy i found this post although i'm a little late. i only own one foundation (chanel vitalumiere aqua b20) and went to the chanel counter yesterday since my skin has been so dry and dehydrated. the SA was so unpleasant. like you, i'm medium w/ pink/yellow undertones and she was pushing me to go for beige rose 22, which i thought was too pink for my taste (i tend to go towards yellow too). anyways, i left with nothing, but thanks to this - i'll go to nordstrom next time around and get the b20. thank you! i'll be back and often.

My hair brush/comb collection is really the one Sonia Kashuk I've purchased (which I enjoy), plus all the free ones in hotel room kits! I barely rake my fingers through my hair, so it's sufficient for me, but my kids need some more. Unfortunately, no. The bottom is different and they click into place differently so you cannot interchange brands. The Laura Mercier ones will only fit Laura products and the Bobbi Brown ones only work with Bobbi products. Sorry!

I'd have to say the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks. It has the creamiest texture, the most saturated color and is the easiest to blend out to perfection among the brands I've tried. I also feel that it is the most versatile as I can use it as full-on eyeshadow by itself, an eyeshadow base, as eyeliner for both upper and lower lashlines and I never worry about it making a mess.

Thanks for your suggestion :) I try to use a paper towel if I do that just because it is less likely to leave tissue fibers on the wand. I think it minimizes the volumizing effect though and I hate to waste such expensive mascara.

Way out of my budget and makeup are pretty expensive here in Malaysia. To avoid clumping, I swipe the wand against a clean tissue paper before using it. It usually helps me. :-)
